Texcel partners with 6fusion to provide cloud services

Texcel has partnered with 6fusion as a Platinum level partner to offer cloud services to its valued customers.

The Texcel Cloud is an Infrastructure-as-a-Service offering that enables organizations to move various software applications from their own in-house IT environment to the ‘cloud’, and manage these applications over the internet via hosted servers in a pay-as-you-go model.  The Texcel Cloud is powered by 6fusion's patent-pending Workload Allocation Cube (WAC) model of measuring and billing computing resources per single unit of measure.

Cloud Computing is a style of computing in which IT-related capabilities are provided “as a service”, allowing users to access technology-enabled services from the Internet without knowledge of, expertise with, or control over the technology infrastructure that supports them.  The term 'cloud' is used as a metaphor for the internet and is an abstraction for the complex infrastructure it conceals.  Cloud computing is improving the way businesses make technology decisions because it enables companies to pay for technology in a utility-based model, eliminating the need for capital technology investments.

The Texcel Cloud is powered by 6fusion's patent-pending Workload Allocation Cube model of measuring and billing computing resources per single unit of measure. To access the 6fusion platform, 6fusion has created a global 'ecosystem' of data centers, or 'iNodes'. With this model, businesses can literally manage their software application from any physical location of their choice worldwide, and pay for only what has been consumed during that period. For those companies who prefer to manage their software applications from a US location, the Texcel Cloud is the answer.
