Local City Municipal Court Data Center Upgrade
Business Challenge:
The local city municipal court had an outdated court management system that needed to be revamped. The new court management solution would need a major revamp of the existing data center with newer servers, security systems, storage infrastructure and networking equipment.
Network Solution:
Texcel, with its experience with server solutions, network and security systems and storage background along with having prior work experience with such government agencies uniquely qualified for this opportunity.
We presented the customer with a comprehensive systems solution designed around IBM pSeries and xSeries Blade servers, IBM ESS storage and a Storage Area network built with the Cisco Storage switches. In addition to these system upgrades, we enhanced and secured the network with Catalyst 6509 switches, ASA firewalls for DMZ and CSS load balancers for web and application server load balancers.
Business Results:
Using this enhanced data center design, the court was able to upgrade to a newer and more efficient court management system. This resulted in enhanced revenue streams, more resilient and secure systems and the opportunity for the public to view information over the web.
