Bud Atkins, CEO
TEXCEL, Inc. was incorporated in December 1995 by Founder, President and CEO, Herman "Bud" Atkins who has over 30 years of business experience. After military service, which included 16 months in Vietnam, Bud attended Gannon College in Erie, PA. He then started his career in IT with IBM in 1975 as a sales representative. In 1977, Bud joined Wang Laboratories. At Wang, Bud held multiple sales, marketing and management positions and received vast experience in multiple markets. In December 1995, Bud founded Texcel, Inc and serves as its chief visionary as well as its president.
Director of Strategic Accounts (Position Available)
This position is responsible for direct sales and strategic business development of enterprise computing solutions. The market concentration is federal government and fortune 500 companies.
Vinod Nair, Director of Technology and Engineering
Vinod Nair joined Texcel in December 2001. His team is responsible for the development, management, ongoing support and operation of Texcel's networking infrastructure. In addition, Vinod's team works with enterprise and government customers to develop technical solutions and meet their network design, strategy, implementation and maintenance needs.
Prior to joining Texcel, Vinod has worked as a consultant with clients like Lucent Technologies, Avaya Communications, Cisco Systems, and others. Most of this work involved design, implementation, operation and migration of large and complex systems and networks. Previously, Vinod worked with various companies in the UK, UAE and India. He has over 15 years of global IT experience. Vinod holds a Bachelors of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Pune in India. He personally holds numerous technical certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Novell, IBM and others.
Kathy Novak, Operations Manager
Kathy R. Novak has extensive business experience in several disciplines. She has worked positions from a Programmer/Analyst, to Office Manager to Corporate Accountant after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Accounting with honors. As Operations Controller, Kathy's team is responsible for administering Texcel's general administrative policy, budget and financial control, personnel management and development, clerical support and office services. She is also a licensed Insurance Agent, a Notary Public and on the Board of Directors for the Cleveland Branch of the American Society of Women Accountants.
